What to Buy in November

It’s finally that time of year! November is here, and that means that the holiday season is officially underway! With Thanksgiving quickly approaching, as well as Black Friday and Cyber Monday, expect to save BIG this month across all retailers, and even at the grocery store!

1. Kitchen Appliances

From KitchenAid mixers to Instant Pots to Keurigs, expect to find steep discounts on your core kitchen appliance essentials. Black Friday will be an especially good time to look for incredible deals on appliances at big box retailers and also department stores like Kohl’s and Macy’s. Last year, we saw Instant Pots as low as $59 at Walmart and Keurigs as low as $50 at Target!

2. Cookware

Black Friday is also the place to find huge savings on a new cookware set, too! Retailers will oftentimes roll out limited edition cookware sets with extra pieces or special patterns just for the holidays. One of the best deals we saw last year was a 14-piece Rachel Ray cookware set at Macy’s for $90 — 70% off! Or the ever-popular Pioneer Woman line of cookware — a 17-piece limited edition set was jut $60 at Walmart!

3. Baking Supplies

Thanksgiving is here, and Christmas is right around the corner — and so are all the delicious desserts that come with them. We started to see some good discounts on baking supplies last month, but the savings will really start to roll in in November. Expect to see sales and high-value coupons for sugar, chocolate chips, pie crusts and filling, evaporated and condensed milk, and cake mixes.

4. Turkey

Of course turkey had to make the list for something you can expect to find on sale in November! 46 million turkeys are consumed over Thanksgiving, and you can expect to find them on steep discount this month. Keep an eye on your local grocery stores, which usually run promotions where you can earn a free turkey if you spend a certain amount of money in-store leading up to the holiday. Turkey also freezes wonderfully — so a great money saving tip is to buy an extra one while they’re on sale and freeze it away for the Christmas holiday — where another 22 million turkeys are eaten!

5. Electronics

Likely the most anticipated discounts of the year are the great deals we can find on electronics during November on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. From TVs and laptops to video game consoles and tablets, Black Friday is one of the absolute best times of the year to find insane savings on almost all electronics. Keep an eye on deals listed on the first page of your Black Friday ads — these are going to be your best savings. And don’t forget that the savings will continue through the end of this month and into December, as retailers try to win your business by offering impressive sales in their electronics departments to try and get you in the door and have you do their rest of your holiday shopping at their store.

Do you have your Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping lists done yet? What great deals do you plan to snag this year? Let us know in the comments below!

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
