September is Baby Safety Month, and that means that Target’s ever popular Car Seat Trade-in Event is back!
Target has once again partnered with Waste Management to bring this event to almost all of their 1800+ locations. The Car Seat Trade In Event begins on September 13th and runs through the 26th. Target will accept and recycle all types of car seats, including infant seats, convertible seats, car seat bases, harness or booster car seats and car seats that are expired or damaged. Materials from the old car seats will be recycled by Waste Management.
Guests who trade in their old car seats will receive a 20% off coupon toward a new car seat, car seat base, travel system, stroller or select baby home gear. Select baby home gear includes play yards, high chairs, swings, rockers and bouncers. Coupons can be applied to both in-store and online purchases and are valid through October 3, 2020.
This year, there is a new requirement to participate in the Car Seat Trade-In Event. Guests must be enrolled in Target Circle to participate in the trade-in and receive a coupon. Scan sheets will be placed on car seat drop-off boxes for guests to scan from their mobile device to add the 20% coupon into their Circle. Guests will only be able to scan one coupon per Circle account, and the coupon can be combined with other item offers.
Even if you don’t need a coupon for baby gear, this is a great way to recycle your old seats! Do you plan to trade in a seat this year? What will you use your 20% off coupon on? Let us know in the comments below!
